The meaning behind "Vale Barca!"
I decided to name my blog Vale Barca, because 'vale' is one of the first words I learned here. It means 'okay' in Castilian, as well as in Catalán. Barca is just a nickname for Barcelona. I hope to visit Barcelona as much as I can and say 'okay' to the adventures that present themselves to me. I know it will be scary at first, but I am excited to open myself up to all the possibilities that this wonderful country has to offer.

How exciting!! I want to know more! What is the room you're living in like? Are there lots of students or families in Your town? :) Even the mundane stuff makes a great blog post. Miss you!

ReplyDeleteMeg, I will definitely do a post w/ pictures of my apartment! As for the town, it's pretty sleepy but there were lots of people at the festival. And we were randomly walking through town on Sunday night and there were loads of people everywhere! I'll have to do more poking around.
ReplyDeleteHunter! My parents and grandmothers are reading this :-) And I've had a couple of solo siestas. They're just like at home! Although from 2-5pm most everything does shut down and it's a pain in the ass. But then things open up again til 9pm so it's not all bad.
